September 2025 conclusion according to the writer's study of the academic content in anatomy book series for first year Faculty of Physical Therapy Cairo University 2023; Bones present a hard, strong and highly vascular CT composed of bone cells and type 1 collagen fibers, both embedded in solid matrix. The solidity of matrix is due to deposition of mineral salts, mainly include calcium and phosphorus.

According to shape, bones are classified into long, short, flat, and irregular bones. While they are classified according to structure into compact (ivory) and spongy (cancellous) bones.
